LORRAINE KELLY HOTLY TIPPED FOR I’M A CELEBRITY

LORRAINE Kelly has seen a surge of fan backing to enter I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this year at William Hill - despite previously denying she’d want to appear on the show.

Jungle fever is once again sweeping the nation as I’m a Celeb is set to air on or around Sunday 13th November, and is once again back in it’s original Australian setting.

The Scottish presenter is priced at 10-1 to enter the jungle, as fans noticed she’d rebuffed a potential Strictly appearance, yet stayed tight-lipped about swirling I’m a Celeb rumours.

Speaking on the odds of her being on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, Lorraine said “there’s more chance of me being a contestant on Love Island” - and fans are convinced that the missing mention of I’m a Celeb means she’s finally set to feature on the show.

Lorraine was asked about I’m a Celeb at this same time last year, and was quick to halt the rumours, saying “I don’t want to eat a kangaroo bum so I’ll just watch.”

In fact, it seems Lorraine isn’t as adverse to taking on a bushtucker trial as she may have suggested, having run several I’m a Celeb-inspired mini challengers on her breakfast show.

The host also recently opened up about how difficult she was finding feeling lonely at home back in July, saying she was craving “social connection, especially after lockdown” - could she be set to make new friends in the form of her fellow Australian campmates?

Top I’m a Celeb contestants

1. Danny Dyer (4-1)
2. Denise Van Outen (6-1)
3. Nick Grimshaw (13-2)
4. Tom Daley (7-1)
5. Natalie Cassidy (7-1)

Commenting on the odds for Lorraine Kelly, Tony Kenny - William Hill spokesperson - said: “There’s a bit of a trend with some I’m a Celebrity contestants in that they’re adamant they’re not up to the challenge - just shortly before being announced as contestants on the next series. It’s not surprising then that Lorraine is amongst the most eagerly-backed this year.

“Her fans are no doubt keen to see how she’d interact with the other stars - and whether she could handle a bushtucker trial after all. Lorraine is in the ideal position to make waves on a show like that - and with Strictly well and truly ruled out, why not I’m a Celeb?”

The current frontrunners in the market are former Eastenders star Danny Dyer (4-1), who left  the soap earlier this year, and new host of The Big Breakfast, Denise Van Outen (6-1).

BGT CHAMPION JAI MCDOWALL UNDERWENT GRUELLING CIRCUS TRAINING AHEAD OF SHOW

JAI McDowall proved to be the Greatest Showman when he appeared on BGT The Champions at the weekend.
And now we can reveal that the Ayrshire born singer underwent special training at the circus to build his confidence ahead of the show.
As well as having knives thrown at him, and limboing under fire, Jai also took part in Zippos Globe of Death where he stood while two 125cc scrambler bikes circled his head.
He said: “I was very nervous the first time I took part in BGT and the judges even remarked that my knees were knocking together as I performed. This time round I wanted to make sure that I’d be confident so I got some extra special training at the circus.
He laughed: “I figured that nothing would be worse than staring death in the face.”
Jai wowed the audience with a moving performance of I’ll Never Love Again during the weekend’s talent contest and even received a standing ovation from Simon Cowell.

Simon apologised to the Scots star for writing him off eight years ago after he won the show and proclaimed: “So, 2011. I remember my issue at the time was I was struggling to find out where you fit into the market," Simon told Jai.
"The fact that I never gave you support during or after the show and you have the guts to come back and prove a point to me: you've grown in stature and in confidence and that was an amazing performance.
"I owe you an apology for not giving you the support you needed at the time, but I also respect the fact you've come back and made me look like an idiot and you look fantastic.
"I could not be more thrilled so here's the standing ovation I should have given you."
Jai has been inundated with calls since the show and was even approached by Hollywood producers to star in a big movie.
A spokesperson for the star said: "Jai is in talks about lots of future projects and there is s lot of interest in him taking on some acting roles, He has also received a request from Susan Boyleto join him on tour this March."

CORRIE’S HELEN FLANAGAN GOES WEDDING SHOPPING IN GLASGOW

CORRIE’S Helen Flanagan has been busy preparing for her big day with Celtic winger Scott Sinclair by visiting the Scottish Wedding Show - and picking out cakes and entertainment.
The glamorous mum of two took her baby daughter Delilah Ruby with her to the runway show as she watched the latest fashions and organised some of the finer details of her wedding with her make up gal Kirsty Martin.
Helen who ended up breastfeeding Delilah during the show, has said she will marry in summer - after taking time to get rid of a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe on her arm in order she could wear her dream dress.
She said at the time “I’m super girlie and I’ve dreamt about my wedding since I was young, so I’ve already been wedding dress shopping! I found my dream dress, but it’s sleeveless and I have a tattoo on my arm that I got when I was much younger. I always cover it up, but if I want to wear this dress then I won’t be able to, so I’m going to have to have the tattoo lasered off.”
She spent the day talking to different stall holders at the bash in Glasgow’s SEC.
and she told followers online: “Had a lovely day at the Scottish Wedding Show.”
Amongst the stalls Helen visited was bespoke wedding cake designer Marie Clare Cake Design whose previous creations include a life size tea set made entirely of sugar as well as owl shaped cakes  and sugary planters. The company makes a point of meeting with couples to create exactly what they want.
Helen posed for a pic at the stand and owner Marie Clare Heffernan Martin, a baking columnist for our sister paper the Sunday Mail, sent a message to Helen following their meeting saying: “Lovely to chat with you Helen Flanagan. So pleased you like my cake.  S*** just got real.”
Helen who plans to centre much of the activity around her two beautiful children, also managed to chat with Pamela from Arty Party Crafts who provide activities for bored kids at weddings and said: “Thanks for stopping by to discuss children’s entertainment with Arty Party Crafts wedding function and entertainment. It was lovely to meet you and your beautiful daughter.”
The model and actress also checked out the trendy Blue Parrots event group who have everything from Oscar themed statues, Friends couches and Alice in Wonderland props to interactive games said: “Thanks for stopping by to chat to us today Helen. You looked beautiful. Hope you had a great day.”
Helen also had a chat with flute, violin and piano trio Amarone music who told her she was such a beautiful mama and even more stunning in real life. They added: “Hope you got some inspo for the wedding.”
Fans were thrilled to see Helen at the event and breastfeeding her baby in public.
Irene Cullen told her: “So great to see you normalising breastfeeding in public. It will help nervous mums do it.”

GLASGOW WOMAN HAUNTED BY KNIFE LOVING DOLL

A Scots photographer reckons her 100 year old doll might be haunted - but she's vowed not to get rid of her because she loves her.

Natalie Mellon, 33, from Glasgow inherited the antique doll after her father in law's friend found her in an old attic.

But ever since she's had her in the house, weird things keep happening.
Natalie who has now dubbed the doll 'Annabelle' after the horror movie where a seemingly innocent doll has a life of its own, said: "Annabelle was given to me about a year ago by one of my father in law's friends who found a load of things in an old attic. I've always loved old antiques and loved her straight away. She does look a bit creepy but I wasn't freaked out when I saw her. I have four big dogs but they are absolutely terrified of her and won't go in the same room. We sarcastically named her Annabelle after the doll in the horror film."

Natalie, who lives in the Irish countryside, has always been interested in the supernatural but has never actually encountered anything strange before.

She said: "I've stayed in supposedly haunted houses before but nothing has ever happened. As well as my dogs barking incessantly at Annabelle she has got up to a few wee tricks. One of my friends stayed the night and heard a tapping noise outside the bedroom. There were no windows or doors open but in the morning she found Annabelle outside the room and she said she wasn't there before she went to bed. She thought I'd put her there for a laugh but I was sound asleep."
Most recently Annabelle appeared to have made a kitchen cupboard open and a knife slide off a shelf while Natalie was messing around taking selfies on her phone.
The incident was captured on video.

Natalie said: "I was literally taking a selfie but hit record by mistake and just went with it to make a video. Then the knife flew off the shelf and the cupboard door swung open. and I just about wet myself and shouted on my partner to come through."
She added: "I'm not easily terrified and found it quite funny afterwards. I'm sure there's got to be a logical explanation."

After Natalie made a video telling us about Annabelle she said there was a huge bolt of lightening outside.

She said: "I actually put her away last night for the first time. I swear im a ballsy little s*** and always stayed myself in the countryside bit when I came into this kitchen last night I swear I was freaked out. I kept looking at that cupboard and if it had done that again when I was here by myself I'd have died with my legs in the air. Annabelle can stay out in the shed for now."

RYAN LAWRIE DIVIDES FANS OVER HAIRDO

X Factor contestant Ryan Lawrie's new hairdo has split opinion after it received as much attention as his actual performance on the show tonight.
The Scots singer was given a complete makeover for Saturday night as stylists gave him a short back and sides, getting rid of his famous curls.
Twitter went crazy with comments following his Motown performance of Superstition as fans pointed out the obvious.
Fan Kerri Florence said: "Where are Ryan's curls man, not feeling the new hair cut"while Mary Ballard added: "Where has usual #RyanLawrie hair gone? He looks so different."
One fan reckoned Ryan looked like he used to two years ago and put up a picture of him commenting: "I am dying @RyanLawrie_'s hair looks like this two years ago Ryan, right now!!" while follower Andrea said: "Anyone else think Ryan Lawrie looks like Brooklyn Beckham with that hair? #XFactor"
Ryan had earlier this week revealed that he used sea salt and bendy rollers to achieve his curly look.
Let's hope his new shorter hair doesn't do the same for him as it did for biblical character Samson.
