THE SKIDS RICHARD JOBSON HAS BEEF WITH LEO SAYER

Beverley Lyons
Richard Jobson caused uproar at Scots music festival Rewind when he called Leo Sayer a little midget s**t.
The Kircaldy born Skids frontman didn’t hold back when he told the crowd at Scone Palace about his disappointment after the band’s most recent album Burning Cities reached number two in the indie charts, kept off the number one spot by Leo Sayer.
Fifty seven year old Richard said: “We released an album and it went to number two in the charts. Did we get cut off by the Clash or Bruce Springsteen in the charts? No, we got kicked off the number one spot by Leo Sayer. Ah the pain. Little midget sh**.”
Leo wasn’t on the bill at the fest which saw vintage acts OMD, Tiffany, Roachford, Howard Jones, Odyssey and the Gypsy Kings perform for tens of thousands of people. The festival which is celebrating its tenth year anniversary in the U.K. returns today with Boomtown Rats, Imagination, Wendy JamesUB40Midge Ure and Heaven 17 and Bonnie Tyler.
As the sun shone Richard also told the crowd: “What a beautiful day. Let’s dance and shout and sing together shall we for twenty five minutes of pure joy. You all look absolutely incredible. You look amazing. We were going to wear some Lycra but it wouldn’t fit over our stomachs.

CHESNEY HAWKES FEELS FRISKY IN PERTHSHIRE AT REWIND

Chesney Hawkes said playing Rewind Festival in Scotland ended up making him randy.
The hunky One and Only singer who recently shocked GMB viewers with his youthful looks was playing the eighties and nineties Rewind Festival at Scone Palace in Perth when he admitted he was getting a bit hot under the collar.
He explained: "I've been doing lots of these kind of festivals up and down the country and it's been great fun.
There's been a lot of nudity actually and it's been quite sunny, not as sunny today but you never know, I might feel a bit frisky. We'll see how it goes. I've not had a chance to see nudity yet but I will be searching it out."
Chesney who later had dinner with Go West and Nik Kershaw back at his hotel revealed he is also planning a new track with Nik in a forthcoming album. He said: " I'm working on an Americana style album cause I live in LA now so I've been working with more country stuff. That's my passion when Im not sitting in a tent getting wet in the rain. I'm halfway though and there's not a Nick song on it yet but there will be. It could be inspired by the rain and nudity in Scotland."

RICK ASTLEY GETS HIS ROLLERS IN AT GLASGOW HAIR SALON

RICK Astley popped into a Scots hairdresser to get his famous quiff done just hours before he was due to perform on stage.
The star who was playing Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall phoned into Taylor Ferguson salon in Glasgow himself to make the appointment under the name Astley but staff didn't twig who he was until he walked in.
Anne Ferguson who took the appointment said: " I spoke to him on the phone when he booked in but I didn't realise it was him. I thought I recognised him a bit when he came in but just thought he was one of our clients from down south. A lady whose husband bought her a voucher for the salon couldn't believe it when she was told he was sitting behind her. She'd not managed to get a ticket for the gig so was thrilled. She got up and had her picture and phoned her husband excitedly to thank him for organising it.
Rick got a cut and style and has fabulous hair that has not deteriorated with age."
Beauty therapist Leanne Donovan and stylist Linda Browne were thrilled to meet him. Leanne who is a huge fan and bought tickets to the gig said: "We put on the music and I offered to be his backing singer or dancer. I was sending about and he was killing himself laughing. He was lovely and at the end of the concert I told him he was fabulous and he said he was loving his hair."

MARC ALMOND SLAMS HATERS AFTER BOWIE GIG

MARC Almond has hit back at the haters who claim he 'murdered Bowie' after he performed two of the legend's songs at the BBC Proms.
The Soft Cell singer who bumped into theshowbizlion.com at Rewind festival in Perthshire's  Scone  Palace just last weekend, defended himself after some claimed he sang out of tune and forgot his words on David Bowie's Starman and Life On Mars.
He said: "Well if you're given two untouchable iconic classics to sing with totally new arrangements, you have to expect the flak. Stumbling over one word due to sound and nerves in LOM becomes forgetting all the words and singing COMPLETELY out of tune! Love Twitter."
He added: "I'd rather listen to Musical experts than some musically ignorant obsessed Bowie Fan and people who just have a problem with me period."
"Apparently I'm not a true Bowie fan and have no respect for him or his songs and let down the whole event. Oh please Give me strength.
That's why Tony Visconti Bowies friend and Producer asks me to sing at his Bowie shows."
The unusual versions of the songs he sang were arranged by Scottish Album of The Year winner Anna Meredith.
