SCOTS GROUP THE RONAINS RECEIVE RUSSIAN DEATH THREAT

SCOTS rockers The Ronains received a Russian death threat after issuing the artwork for their latest single Lunatics.  
The band beat Noel Gallagher to the top of the Uk Rock charts with their last single - a Corries approved version of Flower of Scotland. 
Their  latest single was mastered by John Davis of Metropolis studios, who has worked with The Killers, Dua Lipa, U2, Idles, Led Zeppelin, Inhaler and Noel Gallagher 
The track was recorded and produced by Brendan moon and Liam McCluskey @morsecode studio who’ve managed Paolo Nutini, Gun, The view and more.
The song Lunatics  questions how society labels those with mental health issues, had decided to use images of Boris Johnson, Vladimir Putin, Joe Biden, North Korean Kim Jong-Un and other world leaders to question what real insanity might look like. 
They suggested Putin and his peers might be better suited to an asylum than others with mental health issues - and couldn’t believe it when they received a death threat from a Russian Facebook user. 
The message they received privately said: “Watch your drinks you Ukrainian British f***, we know what you look like and will track you. Russia forever”
Jim Ronain of the band which also has members Debi, Linzi, and Ciaran,  said: “We always like to question the norm and have a bit of a laugh at other people’s expense so we put out the artwork to accompany our single for its pre sale release ahead of August 5, but we couldn’t believe it when we got a message in Russian from someone who took our message way too seriously.
“It’s actually really scary, particularly because they said they know what we look like. With us gigging and touring they could access us at any time really and we are concerned because we do like a drink, and don’t always think about what we are gulping down.”
He added: “We actually have filed a police report on the matter because it is considered a serious threat.”
The Ronains, who count Peaky Blinders Tommy Flanagan amongst their famous fans, and worked with  received a further blow when  the artwork for the song which has been mastered by U2 and Oasis producer John Davis,  got banned from all outlet stores, Spotify, TikTok, Amazon, FB, Instagram and iTunes to name a few.
It’s not the first time the band have attracted controversy with their music. 
Guitarist Jim was handcuffed and fined £90 after he leapt inside an empty cop car to stick his band’s CD No Courage Without Fear EP a blast while coppers were in a filling station shop getting grub.
Their debut album Love, Drugs & on the Dole was also based on the true story of controversial local character Lizzy Coyne and her life of debauchery.

Live at the Longlist gets this year’s campaign underway with the programme having been shot at both Edinburgh’s Summerhall and the city’s most exciting new events space 54EP, where co-hosts Vic Galloway and Nicola Meighan will reveal which twenty albums make up this year’s Longlist. Ensuring music fans find out the highly-anticipated Longlist first, Live at the Longlist is a night to celebrate Scottish music from all corners of the country, spanning genres and styles and uniting fans in these unprecedented times.

SAY Award alumni and Glaswegian duo Free Love return to the virtual Live at the Longlist in 2020, after being Shortlisted in 2019 for their album ‘Luxury Hits’. Known for their exhilarating live shows, Free Love will give fans a taste of their latest mini-album ‘Extreme Dance Anthems’ which sees the band excel in a completely different musical direction than previous records and garnered high praise from the likes of Clash and The List.

 Speaking about their performance Free Love said, “Played some live music for the first time in a long time through a big soundsystem and it was an epiphanic catharsis. We had no idea how much we were missing hearing sound loud and being able to feel the vibrations through the body and move with it and scream and sweat and tune ourselves to rhythm and tonality. You can only really do this at loud volumes as the vibrations need to be felt holistically, not just in your ears. The obvious deficit was an audience to feedback and synergise the NRG but some day we'll be able to do that again. Grateful for this experience which we'll be able to share with you soon..." 

Also Longlisted in 2019 for their debut album ‘Free One’, Kinnaris Quintet join this year’s Live at the Longlist line-up, bringing their combination of Scottish and Irish folk with Bluegrass, Old-Time and Classical to the virtual stage. Live at the Longlist will announce which twenty albums make up this year’s Longlist, before being reduced to the Shortlisted ten, with the final winning artist collecting one of the most lucrative prize funds in the UK; a £20,000 cash prize and nine runners up each awarded £1,000. The final award ceremony will take place on Thursday 29th October 2020.

SUSAN BOYLE GEARING UP FOR BIG 2019

THE incredible Susan Boyle cannot wait until her performance on America’s Got Talent airs in January. 

Susan said: “I received a phone call from Simon Cowell and flew over to the States for the show.”

The singing star from West Lothian who made her mark on judges including Heidi Klum who I’m told was a massive fan, was on sparkling form at the Scottish Music Awards on Saturday night at Glasgow’s SECC.

I’ve had the privilege of her company a number of times now and she’s looking better than ever.

Before singing at the bash to raise funds and awareness for Nordoff Robbins music therapy charity, Susan who has been working on a brand new album told me: “You do get nervous on nights like these but it’s good nerves, exciting. It’s a very special night for Nordoff Robbins too -the 25th anniversary so congratulations to them.”

After seeing a clip of herself on stage with Elaine Paige Susan who sang Wild Horses beautifully and was wearing a Frox of Falkirk fuchsia dress commented: “I’ve come a long way and I didn’t realise I’d done so much so I was very humbled.”

We will be seeing a lot more of the star next year when her new album comes out. She told me to expect a mix of classic and new songs on it and that she has had some fun making it in the studio. 

WEEKLY ROUNDUP: FRANZ FERDINAND, YOUNG FATHERS, EDEN HAZARD AND MORE

FRANZ Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson flew into Glasgow airport just in time for The Scottish Album of The Year Awards - but he admitted he was there by mistake.
Long haired muso Paul picked up the bands shortlisted award for album Always Ascending.
I caught him standing outside the trendy gender neutral toilets at Paisley’s Town Hall.
He said: “We’re actually officially on tour. We just played in Holland in a place called Haarlem at a beach resort called Woodstock 69. We have a group calendar and somebody had put the dates wrongly in the calendar and I thought we had two days off so I thought just I’d come home but it turns out I’ve got a gig tomorrow in Milan. Fortuitously this is happening so I turned up to represent.”
Paul also revealed he and the band never set out for fame or dosh when they started their band.
He told me: “We just did it for fun and that’s what your motivation should be. You see a lot of great places but it just doesn’t compare to being here. As soon as I fly into Glasgow I just think thank God.”


MARTIN Compston was thrilled to get hold of Scott Browns shirt after his charity football match at Celtic Park over the weekend.
But the Line Of Duty star who ended up playing the game in his converse trainers after giving away his boots to a fan midmatch, admitted the shirt was slightly worse for wear.
The memento was covered in Scott’s blood as well as his sweat (and probably tears of joy)
Marin said later: “I’m over the moon to get Captain invincibles Scott Brown’s tap the day straight up on the wall. His literal blood and sweat on it, granted the  blood resulted from him volleying the ball off his own face but still.”

Clyde 1’s Cassi squeezed in a wee Friday lunchtime catch up with me this week.
The talented gal who teams up with George Bowie in the morning tried out some of the North Indian dishes at The Dhabba as we chatted non stop.
We actually picked a table near the back because we knew we’d end up making lots of noise as we laughed at each other’s stories.
She revealed she’s about to get her own afternoon show on Sundays on Clyde 1.
It means she gets a wee lie in after all her DJing commitments on a Saturday night but she will now be working seven days a week.
Sometimes she plays as many as three sets in one night! Busy lady.



YOUNG Fathers bandmember Alloysious Massaquoi says the band are now chilling after being awarded Scottish Album of The Year for their third studio offering Cocoa Sugar.
A suited and booted Alloysious, who was posing with his posse outside Paisley town hall when they asked if I would take some pics for Instagram, told me he’d recently been in New York for a catch up with friends after touring with Massive Attack.
He revealed he had a good laugh with the dance legends behind the scenes.
He said: “We got Daddy G and Rob(Del Naja)  to try out the Dele Alli challenge (where you put your hand over your eye in an upside down OK sign like The Spurs strikers goal celebration) and it was hilarious. They were steaming.”
If you’ve not tried it yet you’ve missed the craze, but it’s always good for a laugh.
Alloysious told me he always finds it hard getting back to normality after big tours. He said: “For me it’s always about finding balance and the kind of razzmatazz stuff I always take with a pinch of salt. The guys and I, we are local lads, so spending time with family and friends and regulating friendships is important. A lot of the time I come back everybody is working and the reality  is a lot of the time I just go to the cinema by myself. Or I got tomy mums house.”




CHELSEA players Eden Hazard and his teammates checked out the fine dining at Brian Maule’s Chardon D’Or restaurant during their trip to Glasgow.
The lads who were staying at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel worked up an appetite after a busy time of it during their victorious stay here.
While Eden, his brother Thorgan and some of his teammates headed to Braehead for some ten pin bowling at Soar on Saturday, the other half of the team went to the circus!
The Belgian lads had a great time at Ovo by Cirque du Soleil and on Sunday they all headed out for their meal at the prestigious Chardon D’Or before jetting home at eleven pm.



I had one of my weirdest meals this week at Mharsanta restaurant in Merchant City - as I celebrated Christmas with them.
The Scots food venue invited a posse of food bloggers and events organisers along to their festive menus launch night.
There was a tree - with baubles aplenty, Christmas songs galore and even delicious mince pies and turkey, not to mention the potent mulled wine (half a glass did it for the lightweight that is me)
I thought it was pretty unique, but I’ve now seen signs of the Chrimbo holidays pop up in a few other haunts...including The Village Hotel, The Hilton hotel, Chaophraya and David Lloyd.
Does Santa send out a memo?


Brilliant news that our very own Hardeep Singh Kohli did so well on Big Brother.
He’s an intelligent guy who is always great to chat to - and he’s a fab cook.
Hardeep, of course is now home in Scotland, and remains as down to earth as ever.
Instead of posing in flash restaurants and negotiating big endorsement deals like some of his reality peers he could be found immediately in one of his ‘offices’ in Dennistoun.
The first place he visited off the train was ...Redmonds bar and food venue for some... poached eggs and coffee.

Look out for Mogwai Satan beer.
The Scots band revealed of me that they are actually releasing the real stuff in a bottle very soon. It’s named after their song of a similar name, substituting the word Fear for Beer. It’s not the first time they’ve dabbled with booze - they’ve released limited editions of whiskey and rum before too.
In Japan they’ve also had cardboard effigies made of themselves.

THE LEGENDARY JACKSONS ON A TIMELESS GLASGOW TRIP

IT'S half a century since the then tiny vocal group The Jackson Five first entered the professional music scene but their songs and dance moves remained timeless as they played to a packed house at Glasgow's 02 Academy.

Now a four piece, singers Jackie, 66, and Markon ,60 and vocalist/guitarist Tito, 63 and vocalist/bassist Jermaine, 62 might be more grandfathers of soul these days but their super funky energy was still there.
A super beat filled DJ set by former Corrie star Craig Charles and the opening strains of ABC on film gave us a taster of what was in store.

As the US superstars shimmied on stage wearing their black and silver sequinned outfits for Can You Feel It followed by Blame It On the Boogie the audience erupted into a sea of dancing limbs. All we needed was a giant disco ball.
As beads of sweat began to collectively gather in the performers and audience, the pace was slowed down for the smooth Rock With You before more choreography during Enjoy Yourself.

It was touching to see the video backdrop play the original routines with an innocently youthful looking band dressed in all white in the background.
Without the legendary Michael, who was undoubtedly there in spirit, and now youngest brother Randy who is not in the current line up, the brothers Jackson were still a veritable force who pleased at every turn.
Video messages from family members provided a brief respite for everyone before the hits rolled like an ever running tap with a medley of anthems like ABC, I Want You Back, and Never Can Say Goodbye.
Michael passed away almost exactly eight years ago and the brothers beautiful rendition of Gone Too Soon touched everyone in the hall.
The Jacksons are an important part of global musical history and it was a privilege to watch them.

BELLSHILL SINGER SHEENA EASTON IS WILDER THAN YOU THINK

SCOTS singer Sheena Easton claims she'd have love to have been a wildlife photographer if she hadn't gone into the music business.
The Bellshill born Morning Train singer who collaborated with Prince and lives in Las Vegas said: "I love sci fi. If I had a time machine and could go back and take an alternative path I'd love to have been a wildlife and landscape photographer. That would be a fabulous way to live your life.
She added: "When I was at drama school, I was also doing the academic side so I could have gone on to teach."
Sheena is currently in London for a production of 42nd Street where she plays Dorothy Brock, whose understudy replaces her after she hurts her leg.
The 58 year old revealed she combats her nerves with a few rituals before she goes on stage.
She said: "I always say a prayer to my self before I go on stage. And before I enter I have to take my power posture: even if I'm terrified and butterflies and nerves are jumping all over the place I need to collect myself and bring the full centred thing onto the stage, no matter what."

DEACON BLUE FANS REBEL AT GLASGOW FILM THEATRE

DEACON Blue fans caused a revolt in a Glasgow cinema when ushers repeatedly told them to sit down during a film about the band.
The Scots group were airing the world premiere of their Live At The Glasgow Barrowlands documentary at Glasgow Film Theatre when some people in the audience tried to get up and dance.
As one woman got on her feet to the song Wages Day in the warehouse cinema, strict ushers attempted to get her to sit down only to be met with a wave of loud boos before the rest of the crowd got up from their seats in defiance in time for the anthem Dignity.
The cinema ended up like a mini version of the legendary Barrowlands venue without the spilled pints.
Following the showing, a thrilled Ricky Ross who admitted he was initially sceptical about the event said: "Seeing the audience reaction in the cinema was amazing. I remember years ago going to see Gandhi at the Odeon down the road and I'd never been to a film where they clapped at half time and at the end.
A friend of mine said at the time:'You were obviously never at the pictures on a Saturday morning. It was like that every Saturday when they were at the Western.".
Singer Lorraine Macintosh who is also married to Ricky added: "l've just watched Deacon Blue in concert for the first time. It was a very bizarre experience sitting there and during half of it, well most of it, I was looking at it through my finger's then I realised we're actually at a Deacon Blue gig tonight. I loved it. I'm not sure if I'd pay for it but I loved it."
Drummer Dougie Vipond added: "You've probably noticed Jim Prime isn't here. We could make something up but the truth is actually better. His mum is looking after his dog tonight so he had to get back and take his dog for a walk.
He added: "I think it was really important for us to play a gig in the Barrowlands because we finished in 1994 with a gig in the Barrowlands so it was a hugely emotional evening for all of us. It was a great night but I remember being in the dressing room beforehand in floods of tears so to go back it was hugely important."

WET WET WET WILL BE KINGS OF EDINBURGH CASTLE THIS SUMMER

WET Wet Wet will celebrate thirty years of their classic debut album Popped In Souled Out by taking over the stage at Edinburgh Castle.
Marti Oellow and the lads will play the famed Edinburgh landmark on Saturday July 15.
With huge hits including three UK No.1’s – ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’; ‘Goodnight Girl’; and ‘Love Is All Around’, the Glasgow lads have made an incredible impact with their music over the years, making them one of the most successful bands in British pop history.
Marti Pellow said: “It was a major career highlight when we took to the stage at Edinburgh Castle some 25 years ago. We are honoured to be asked back and it is sure to be a special moment when we take to the stage again.”
Graeme Clark added: “We’re coming back to the Capital to celebrate the anniversary of our Popped In Souled Out album and to do it on this scale at Edinburgh Castle some 30 years after its release is incredible.”

Their most ‘2016 Big Picture Tour’ was an extensive 17-date arena tour that culminated in a sold out show at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The tour reached as far south as Plymouth and as far north as Inverness whilst covering all of England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, giving fans all over the country the chance to see the band live. For the anniversary ‘Popped In Souled Out’ is being re-released as a 5 disk super deluxe edition that includes unreleased and rare material along with many extras. The band will be performing tracks from their classic debut at Edinburgh Castle as well as their greatest hits from over the past three decades.

GUN FRONTMAN DANTE SHOWS FEAR AT LINLITHGOW

GUN frontman Dante Gizzi says he's too much of a coward to even learn to drive never mind go on a funfair ride.
The Word Up frontman was with his kids after performing at McEwans Party At The Palace and made a point of spending some dad time with them straight after he came off stage.
He said: "I took them to have a shot of the funfair rides but I avoided it myself.
There no way I'm going to go on all of these rides. I hate that sort of stuff. I don't even drive.
That stuff makes me queezy. I remember doing it once at T in The Park and I threw up but that was cause I had a three quarter bottle of gin."
Jools added: "This was our first Party At The Palace and we were absolutely blown away."
Dante enthused: "Last week we had to cut our set short at Belladrum so we played a bit more here. It's a very family orientated festival but it's also about music lovers and I love the fact people can install that into their children."
The lads have just built a new studio and will soon be working on a new album.
Jools said: "The roof is almost finished and we'll be recording a new record by September and finished this year then ready to go for the start of next year. It will be typical Gun, rocking anthems."

SUSAN BOYLE FINISHES NEW ALBUM AND TALKS FESTIVALS

SUSAN Boyle claims she can relax with some visits to Scotland's festivals after finishing off her brand new album.
The singer was chilling with friends at McEwans Party At The Palace in Linlithgow when she bumped into The Showbiz Lion.
She said: "I've just completed an album which is due out in November and it's a bit of a surprise. I'm having a whale of a time here. I'm hoping to see the Proclaimers later on. I met them a few years ago and they are nice lads."
She added: "I'm also planning to go to the Fringe to catch a couple more shows there."
Susan normally releases an album to tie in with US Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays and after taking a break last year from the scene fans can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.

G-EAZY LOOKS LIKE CROONER, RAPS LIKE A LEGEND, IS DUE IN SCOTLAND

FRESH from Coachella the slick and smooth rapper G-EAZY is bringing his cool vibes to Scotland next month.
The artist who looks like he should be more of a crooner than a hip hopping talent has announced UK headline dates in support of his album, When It’s Dark Out, released on December 4 last year.
G-Eazy who had a Christmas hit with House Of Fraser Christmas TV advert, You Don’t Own Me by Grace, is already mixing with rap royalty.
You can expect plenty of personal storytelling and immersive, hard-hitting and sweeping productions on tour if the album which includes stars like Big Sean and Chris Brown is anything to go by.
G-Eazy will also perform tracks from These Things Happen, which was released last year to critical acclaim. The freshman album peaked at the number 3 position on both the Billboard 200 and Top Digital Album Charts, and bowed at number 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and Top Rap Albums Chart.
Between the album and singles, G-Eazy’s past work has also amassed well over 50 million streams on Spotify.
As a live performer, G-Eazy has been called by USA Today one of the best and biggest hip-hop touring acts on the college circuit.

TROYE SIVAN SHOWS CARING SHARING SIDE AT GLASGOW GIG

TROYE Sivan showed he was a caring sharing kind of guy when he invited lucky fans who had missed out on tickets to his sell out show in Glasgow at the weekend.
The South African-born Australian singer, songwriter, actor and YouTuber met some fans as he popped out for a Starbucks and a shopping trip on Sauchiehall Street and put them on his guest list after hearing they were unable to get prizes briefs for his sold out QMU show.
The twenty year old star was met by screams as he played his first ever gig in Scotland at the weekend on his Blue Neighbourhood tour - and he even attempted a Scots accent.
Troy who featured as a young James Howkett in X-Men Origins: Wolverine thrilled with his cute charm and self penned songs like For Him, Fools, Youth, Too Good, Talk Me Down and Ease.
He told the crowd it was only his third or fourth day in Europe and that he apologised if his pants were falling down - because he's forgotten his belt.
No one seemed to complain.
After hearing the chants of here we f***ing go, he told the audience: "When I go to other places I'll be like, do you know what Glasgow said to me? Why can't you guys be as cool as Glasgow was?"
He even managed to try his hand at the local patois by saying: "Are you coming oot on the town to get mad wi it?"
Troy entertained and stayed at the Glasgow Uni Queen Margaret Union till the wee small hours after his gig.
After seeing him in the flesh no one needed to take a Happy Little Pill.
Troy hasn't yet tweeted, instagrammed or snapchatted about his first experience in Scotland but we reckon it's just a matter of time...

BIFFY CLYRO'S JAMES COVERS UP HIS NAKED SKIN AFTER REVEALING NEW ALBUM COVER

BIFFY Clyro might have got naked for their new album artwork but bassist James Johnston was keen to cover up when he got back to Scotland.
The bearded brother loves his tattoos along with the rest of the group and was keen to complete one of his newest designs.
As soon as he got back from the States he headed straight to the Lucky Cat tattoo parlour in Glasgow for his latest fix.
James chose a very fitting watercolour Scottish thistle tattoo by artist Kevin and had been waiting to get it completed.
The band just released the artwork for their forthcoming album Ellipsis and tomorrow (Tuesday) they will reveal their video for new song Wolves of Winter, the first single off of Ellipsis at 3pm on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/biffyclyro


Simon had previously teased the album cover saying: "I think the artwork for this will shock some people"
He and his bandmates James and Ben Johnston are depicted lining up in the foetal position on the cover.
Their new song Wolves Of Winter is already gaining rave reviews after being played by Zane Lowe.
Simon said of the anthemic song which shows off different studio sounds and techniques: "It feels like the best thing we've ever done. We've found a new verbiage for Biffy Clyro. Wolves of Winter is about us being wolves on a patch and if you come onto that patch, we’ll tear you limb-from-limb.”

ADELE'S SPECIAL GIFT TO GIG-GOERS

ADELE fans got a special present from the star following her Scottish gigs.
The singer made sure each and every audience member had the opportunity of taking away a little piece of her after the concerts at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
During the finale of each show confetti dropped from the roof of the venue, showering everyone with love and good wishes from the star.
The specially made confetti carried messages of goodwill from the singer in her own handwriting.
Messages on them included Hello, Thanks for Coming, We Could Have Had It All and All My Love, Adele.
Some people scrambled to ensure they got a piece of the special memorabilia before it was swept away following the gig.
During the singer's second night at the SSE Hydro she also draped herself in a saltire as she sang Oscar winning song Skyfall.

BAY CITY ROLLER AND BGT WINNER SURPRISE AT CELTIC ROCKERS GIG IN DUNDEE

 BAY City Roller Alan Longmuir ended up playing Shangalang after becoming the  surprise guest at a Scots celtic rock gig.

 The legendary popster surprised punters at the Dundee gig by award-winning Scots celtic rock band Gleadhraich who were Rolling in Talent alongside Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall.

 The band, who were Angus Cultural Ambassadors in 2014, were joined by  two talents for their sell-out show at the Starlight Showroom.

After a kilted Jai provided vocals on Loch Lomond, the Carnoustie band welcomed Alan to the stage.

As he brought out his acoustic guitar the lads in the band joined him to play a special rendition of 1972 hit Shang-A-Lang sending the crowd into raptures.

The band then closed the show with their version of Take On Me from their second EP, Where We’re From, with confetti canons blasting into the crowd and showering the band as they took their final bows to David Bowie’s fitting Heroes.

 Both guest spots came about through piper Craig Weir who had supported the artists over the last few years.

 Craig piped on the Bay City Roller’s reunion tour last Christmas, with Queen at the SSE Hydro in January 2015 and twice with The Libertines. He’s also composed and played a tune to the Dalai Lama in 2012 and along with brother, Paul, played Arnold Schwarzenegger into his Edinburgh business event in January.

 Craig said: “We were keen to make this show extra special with the addition of a couple of special guests.

 We’d previously played with Jai and thought it would be great to get him to sing with us. When I was on the Bay City Rollers tour I discussed with Alan the idea of him guesting for us, so when I asked if he was up for it he agreed straight away. I still can’t believe it’s really happened.

 “To have both of these major Scottish artists playing with the band was amazing and hopefully the crowd enjoyed the surprises. It certainly completed the night for us!”

Afterwards, Roller Alan, who kept his promise to play despite suffering from flu, said: “They’re a great band.”

 Jai added: “I was panicky before the gig, as I normally am, but once I was on stage the audience were great and the boys were brilliant too.”

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT AFTER ADELE DISTRESSED BY FAN INJURY AT SCOTS SHOW

ADELE has admitted she's upset after at least one fan was injured during this moment of her Glasgow show.
A female fan was accompanied off the premises of the SSE Hydro and rushed to hospital after a chain from a light fitting hit her during Adele's performance of Set Fire To The Rain.

Eyewitness Vikki McLaughlan was sitting in block 55 near to where the accident happened, 
She said she feared that Adele and audience members may be electrocuted after witnessing a cable swinging from the ceiling.
 She claimed: "I was at the concert with my 15 year old niece when the accident happened. There was water coming down like a waterfall on the small stage where Adele was singing towards the back of the venue and people began screaming during the song, 
All I could see was a cable swinging from the ceiling but I wasn't sure if it was a live wire from a light fitting or not. I heard screams and could see people in the audience crouching down on the floor as some ran away from the cable."
 Vikki added: "My niece who had been taking photos of Adele looked and saw a woman on the floor with blood pouring down her face. She told security and first aid helped to pick her off the floor and take her outside. Her head was like a burst orange. Adele continued singing but she disappeared from the stage straight after the song. The camera man left his equipment there too as everyone was ushered away to safety."
It is unknown at this stage if the woman has been kept in hospital overnight.
A spokesperson from the SSE Hydro said: "A chain belonging to the production came down and hit one person who was taken to hospital as a precaution. We are liaising with the production crew to ascertain what happened."
After hearing about the incident straight after her performance, a shocked Adele said: "I'm so sorry to hear that someone got hurt at my show tonight. It's being investigated to ensure it won't happen again.X"
The star plays the Scots venue again this evening (Saturday).

ADELE TALKS SEX, PAOLO, GLASTONBURY, AND KING TUTS DURING GLASGOW SSE HYDRO GIG

 Adele got touchy feely with a tattooed male fan, said Paolo Nutini reminded her of Al Pacino, joked that she wasn't cool enough to play rock venue King Tuts, claimed she was playing Glastonbury to p*** people off as well as admitting she was worried she'd fall over her dress during her Scots gig.The chatty performer was more like a stand up comedian than singing star during her first concert at Glasgow's SSE Hydro, which beautifully coincided with Glasgow Comedy Festival.All the hits were performed during the Friday night concert including opener Hello, Chasing Pavements, Rolling In the Deep and  When We Were Young. Before Rumour Has It Adele started the first of her audience interactions as she invited two ladies up on stage to tell her the name of the small venue she played in Scotland years ago.
She told her fans: "So far on the tour you are the smallest venue but the loudest. Oh my god literally, You nearly blew my dress off as you started singing Hello. I did not expect it. I must  warn you when I get nervous I swear and I'm nervous. This is the first time I've spoken and you flew around in circles to see me. The last time I played here was Glasgow Academy just before the tour started. It was one of most fun gigs I did."
The Someone Like You star then appeared confused as she tried to remember the name of the smallest venue she'd played in Glasgow.
She said: "Did anyone come to my gig right next to Wetherspoons in Glasgow. It suited me well at the time."
Inviting two fans on the stage she was told: "It was at the Classic Grand, in Jamaica Street."
Adele then joked: "I kept thinking it was King Tuts (where Oasis were discovered) but I'm not cool enough to have played there."
After being kissed by the two gals on the cheek she laughed: "Have I got lipstick on my face? Don't get me wrong if I wanted anyone's lipstick on my face it would be yours" Referring to the giant projection of her face on the wall behind her she added: "My face is almost too big for this venue . Thank God I've not got a cold sore." 
 Adele then invited a fan with a tattoo up on stage and joked: "I hope its not me with a double chin or unflattering. Definitely come up if you've got a tattoo on."
She couldn't believe it when two lads took up her offer and Douglas who had a tattoo of her lyrics on her arm came up to hug her. 
He and his partner Stephen were chuffed to bits to be on stage with their queen and after telling her they were gay Adele said: "I wish you were straight. No one has squeezed me like that for years. You lot are so touchy feely.  I feel like I've just had sex."   
Adele even took the mickey out of her sad songs telling her adoring crowd: "I'm glad you've got a nice seat to rest your ankles. We've got misery coming up. We're not on the miserable songs yet so don't fall to pieces yet. I forgot to say thankyou for the roses. I'm frightened I'd fall over if I held them. This dress is a bit long. Imagine if this were a short dress. You'd see right up my a*** crack. I got to the gym on tour days so I'm all fit for you, "
During the hilarious 15th show which showed off her cockney banter,  she revealed that five is her lucky number, Paolo Nutini her favourite singer and that she think he looks like Al Pacino and that she imagines she looks like Halle Berry, smouldering in an orange bikini when she sings Skyfall.  
After a couple asked her to their house for Easter, Adele who thanked them for their kindness and said she would if she didn't have her son to see, revealed she has 104 shows to go and on her 13th show at the 02, a dream come true, she broke a double bass.
She spoke to a drummer in the audience and asked if he wore shoes when he played. She said her feet were so veiny when she wore heels herself and prefers to wear flats.
She confessed she liked to pretend she is Alison Kraus but thinks she could never be  country artist and gave a shout out to local charity organised Les Hoey MBE and his Dreammaker foundation, adding she had an MBE too."
Adele also talked about her lovelife saying she was now with a 'nice hairy man', not a boy who 'respects me'. She claimed it was her first night away from her wee one but he'd given her a tacky bracelet to wear on stage and she said she'd had to medidate to get rid of her demons but added: "I'm turning into a cliche of a hippy. I  wouldn't go that far. It takes as much energy  to hate somebody as to love them."
Adele also talked about playing Glastonbury and revealed she was playing it to p*** people off. She said: "I wouldn't be offended if anyone thought I shouldn't do it. They think I'm boring but I've f***ing been there more times than you." 
Adele also paid tribute to her Glaswegian manager Rosie Moon as shots of Glasgow were projected onto the big screen.
The crowd chorused on songs like Set Fire To The Rain and held their phones up to One and Only. Make You Feel My Love was another huge hit, but  there are so many at an Adele concert it's hard to pinpoint which one was best. They were all belters and Adele's comic chat between them was a real bonus. 
The feeling was mutual as she told her crowd: "I now have 13,000 fans in Glasgow."

ADELE GETS CHARITABLE FOR SCOTS GIGS

Adele is making sure charity begins at home before taking to the stage tonight at Glasgow's SSE Hydro.
The 27 year old singer has been a long term supporter of Sands, a UK-based charity dedicated to 'supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.'
Insiders claim she insists that any guest receiving complimentary tickets will be asked to contribute £15 to the charity.
Adele, full name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE, is set to appear on stage at the city's SSE Hydro venue at 8pm this evening and open her concert with Hello.
The sold out gigs tonight and tomorrow ( a few extra tickets just went on sale on ticket master this am) are two of the big dates in this year's music calendar and the venue has been working hard to ensure everything is in order for the star.
Adele's tour rider so far has been kept under wraps but in 2011 she asked for a pack of Marlboro Lights and a disposable lighter, an assortment of chewing gum, and a small plate of 'freshly made, individually wrapped sandwiches' that 'must NOT contain tomatoes, vinegar, chilli or citrus fruit.'
She also requested 'bite-size' chocolate bars, including Twix, Aero, Milky Way, and Mars on her tour bus post gig and organic muesli and six Cereal bars.
Two bottles of the 'very best quality red wine' and 12 bottles of 'best quality European lager beer. ie Becks, Stella Artois, Peroni etc' were also demanded.
This time round Adele is a mum and even took her baby Angelo aka Peanut to her London gig for the first time.
Given that she's a conscientious mother we reckon her rider might be a little less rock n roll this time round.
Adele comes to Glasgow hot on the heels of Mariah Carey who she has referred To as 'biblical'. The two ladies keep missing one another on tour but one day that could be a duet to die for.

NATHAN SYKES AND LITTLE MIX - MOST ROMANTIC GIG YET

NATHAN Sykes had his most romantic gig yet when a couple got engaged during his rendition of Over and Over Again.
The former Wanted singer is currently supporting Little Mix on tour and played Nottingham on Wednesday evening when the on stage proposal took place.
Nathan, had been serenading audience member Deborah when her partner Lee arrived on stage mid song and told the audience the song was their favourite. He then went down on bended knee and asked Deborah to marry him, producing a ring box from his hand.
As Deborah said 'yes' the audience screamed in delight.
Deborah's daughter later Tweeted: "Congratulations to my Mum and her partner Lee, who've just got engaged on stage while @NathanSykes sang his song💍💕"
Fans cried calling it the 'cutest moment ever' and Nathan was beaming as he then posed for a picture with the happy couple.
He later said: "She said yes!! Most amazing moment tonight during #OverAndOverAgain at @LittleMix #GetWeirdTourNottingham!!"

JUSTIN BIEBER CANCELS PURPOSE VIP EXPERIENCE

JUSTIN Bieber won't be having private meetings with his fans when he comes to Scotland.
The Baby and What Do You Mean? star who comes to Glasgow's SSE Hydro on October 27 has decided to cut his intimate backstage experience from The Purpose Tour.
Justin claims the experience which cost some fans £1300 was making him 'drained and unhappy.'
On his Instagram account he wrote: "I'm going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy..
"Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression ..
"The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I'm supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised.
"Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen."
Justin reportedly had a security scare at his gig at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday (21.03.16) when a fan got within 10 feet of him.
A source told TMZ: "This was the last straw in an increasing problem Justin's team has had in managing the number of people who wanted special access to the singer before and after the concert. Up to now, around 20 people purchased one-on-one packages, and up to 200 others paid to meet Justin in groups. He's had his hair pulled, clothes ripped and one fan even gave him the flu. Justin never complained, but Monday night's scare was a wake up call for security."
