WIN A VALENTINES DATE WITH CAITLYN VANBECK AND GREGOR HUNTER COLEMAN

SCOTS singers Caitlyn Vanbeck and Gregor Hunter Coleman have offered themselves up for a hot double date with lonely singletons this Valentines Day.

The talented twosome who have performed on our screens through X Factor and beyond teamed up with Scots online beauty company Washmestyleme.com and Glasgow’s Dhabba restaurant to give two lucky winners a priceless night to remember.

And two separate winners  will be treated to a bundle of K|Night, Betty Jo and Pain In The Sass perfume and aftershave gifts and toiletries alongside a full three course meal with drinks.

As well as dining with the singing stars each winner will be given a love book about Indian Goddess of Love Kamadeva, and a bunker pack of pressies from the Washmestyleme.com website created by 22 year old Scots beauty entrepreneur Alana Taylor.

Caitlyn from Edinburgh who has had hundreds of millions of hits online and once shared a flirty exchange with Justin Bieber said: “When it comes to dating I’ve not yet met Mr Right so this night could be perfect in every way. As well as smelling nice we’re all going to leave our dates with very full bellies.”

Glasgow’s Gregor Hunter Coleman, who counts Nicola Sturgeon amongst his admirers,  says he’s had a whole host of bad dates - including one where his ‘ex girlfriend ended up serving him and his date on a night out - leading to a very unfortable atmosphere’, can’t wait to play host with the most and wine and dine his winning date on Valentines week.

He said: “It’ll be a fun night and I’m more than happy to serenade my date on the evening. I can’t wait to see what Lady Luck brings my way.”

Both Caitlyn and Gregor want to hear about peoples worst dating stories and two winners who impress with their tales of woe will be picked for a Valentines date with them.

Entrants must be over 18, able to take their prize in Glasgow between February 13-17 and willing candidates should send their worst date story and name, age and address to alana@washmestyleme.co.uk by February 11.

As part of Valentines Day, toiletry company Washmestyleme.com have reduced the price of their aftershave and perfume box sets by up to a third. The Dhabba In Candleriggs is also offering the first thirty couples who book on Valentines Day a copy of the book of God of Desire Kamadeva.

OUTLANDER'S SAM HEUGHAN IS PINEAPPLE HUNK

OUTLANDER'S Sam Heughan was at the centre of a pineapple mystery after he claimed the tropical fruit was thrown at him during filming.
Sam is filming the last block of series three of the US blockbuster in Scotland and admitted there had been some high jinx on set earlier today.
He said: "Day one...Pineapple has been thrown! @caitrionambalfe."
Sam's co-star Caitriona retorted with: "@SamHeughan in your face !!!"
Sam then replied: "Mmmm 2nd hand pineapple... My favourite."
Fans around the world then began to speculate what had exactly taken place with the pineapple in question.
Some thought it was a code word for something else a bit naughty saying: "Pineapple...is that code for something? Because you know what pineapples stand for..."
Kelsey Kingsley said: "Getting visuals. I'm about to go to bed. #PineappleNightmare"
Jill Millander added: @I don't know what's going on, but I like it! #SamcaitBanterIsTheBest"
And James Loftis volunteered: "No, they throw pineapples as a form of ancient Celtic ritual, to attain genuine Celtic mentality."
It's not the first time a pineapple has been at the centre of controversy.
Scots dance music star Calvin Harris hit the headlines when he stormed the X Factor stage with pineapple on his head, and the fruit itself became a cult hit last year with the Japanese tune Pen Pineapple Apple Pen.

SCOTS VOICE COACH YVIE BURNETT TALKS GARY BARLOW

Beverley Lyons
SCOTS Voice coach Yvie Burnett reckons Gary Barlow is a perfectionist after working on his new show Let It Shine.
Aberdeen born Mezzo Soprano Yvie who has been vocal coaching contestants behind the scenes on the BBC series which starts tonight said: "I think with Gary it's very much about the emotion and words and everything and although technically he works hard he is one of these perfectionists in life, isn't he? You can tell by the way he looks. He looks great and he looks at his exercise and what he eats and his dancing and which maybe wasn't always his thing, and his singing, so I think with Gary he's looking for people who will work really hard and do their best for him.

She added: "It's been great fun working on the show. I'm really excited about it because there's something unusual with little added extras that are quite exciting and I think people will like it. It's just a really warm feel good show.
Yvie added: "There's great talent from Scotland and of course I don't give them any extra time ha ha. I've been working closely with Gary because Gary knows what he wants and he knows that I'll do whatever he needs for it cause we know each other anyway and he's just great to work with. He's proper and knows his stuff.

STILL GAME'S TAM IS IDEAL DATE BAIT

HE might be an unlikely sex symbol but Still Game's Tam Mullen has appeared on dating site Plenty Of Fish.
The Criaglang pensioner might be attached to librarian Francis but that hasn't apparently stopped him advertising his wares online.
We're not sure if the cheeky punter who put up his pic on their profile has had much success in the pulling stakes yet but at 70 Tam who is a hospital DJ isn't exactly the ideal date material as his miserly ways mean you'll be the one paying for the drinks.
One time he even pretended he had bad arthritis which prevented him getting his hand into his pocket.
As a pal of Jack, Victor and of course Winston he has a solid group of pals but don't expect big night out - he likes to spend time in the pub and the bookies.
Actor Mark Cox who plays the character claims he had nothing to do with the dating profile but he joked: "Smashing-Get him Pumped!"

BLACKADDER STAR TONY ROBINSON HAS HIS PIE AND EATS IT IN SCOTLAND

BLACKADDER and Time Team star Sir Tony Robinson couldn't believe it when fans showered him with macaroni cheese on his trip to Scotland.
The actor and presenter who is best known as Baldrick and his famous phrases like 'I have a cunning plan' was appearing in Glasgow and Edinburgh for his No Cunning Plan book signing.
He told his online followers he was
'Looking forward to lashings of Macaroni cheese pie' but never expected them to take him up on his suggestion.

Tony who was in Scotland with his wife said: "I said I fancied macaroni cheese. The next thing I knew they were suggesting all sorts of macaroni cheese to me including deep fried pies. Someone even brought one to the book signing."
Phil from Falkirk was amongst those who made the extra effort,
He said: "I took diplomatic responsibility to welcome Tony Robinson to Glasgow with a formal presentation."

Tony was also collecting donations for Movember as he sports a moustache for the first time in ages but he admitted he couldn't wait to get rid of it.

EDINBURGH'S CAITLYN VANBECK COMPARED TO KELLY CLARKSON ON X FACTOR

Scots X Factor contestant Caitlyn Vanbeck has been compared by Simon Cowell to US hit maker Kelly Clarkson.
In scenes just a few hours away in tonight's X Factor, Caitlyn, 18, from Tranent, outside Edinburgh will wow the X Factor judges with a rendition of Piece By Piece by Kelly Clarkson.
She even manages to make Nicole Scherzinger cry as she tells how she was bullied in her early life.
An emotional Caitlyn said: "Bullies didn't take to my singing."
Simon Cowell recalled at her Edinburgh
audition how he met a young American 15 years ago who later became one of the biggest selling artists on the planet. "That singer was Kelly Clarkson."
Grinning, he told her: "You are the best singer we've heard this season."
Caitlyn, who won Edinburgh's Got Talent several years ago, got past boot camp and reached the six chair challenge in last year's competition but wasn't given much airtime.
This year the hope is that she'll be getting a lot more and with all of Scotland behind her that looks like a distinct probability.
