WIN A VALENTINES DATE WITH CAITLYN VANBECK AND GREGOR HUNTER COLEMAN

SCOTS singers Caitlyn Vanbeck and Gregor Hunter Coleman have offered themselves up for a hot double date with lonely singletons this Valentines Day.

The talented twosome who have performed on our screens through X Factor and beyond teamed up with Scots online beauty company Washmestyleme.com and Glasgow’s Dhabba restaurant to give two lucky winners a priceless night to remember.

And two separate winners  will be treated to a bundle of K|Night, Betty Jo and Pain In The Sass perfume and aftershave gifts and toiletries alongside a full three course meal with drinks.

As well as dining with the singing stars each winner will be given a love book about Indian Goddess of Love Kamadeva, and a bunker pack of pressies from the Washmestyleme.com website created by 22 year old Scots beauty entrepreneur Alana Taylor.

Caitlyn from Edinburgh who has had hundreds of millions of hits online and once shared a flirty exchange with Justin Bieber said: “When it comes to dating I’ve not yet met Mr Right so this night could be perfect in every way. As well as smelling nice we’re all going to leave our dates with very full bellies.”

Glasgow’s Gregor Hunter Coleman, who counts Nicola Sturgeon amongst his admirers,  says he’s had a whole host of bad dates - including one where his ‘ex girlfriend ended up serving him and his date on a night out - leading to a very unfortable atmosphere’, can’t wait to play host with the most and wine and dine his winning date on Valentines week.

He said: “It’ll be a fun night and I’m more than happy to serenade my date on the evening. I can’t wait to see what Lady Luck brings my way.”

Both Caitlyn and Gregor want to hear about peoples worst dating stories and two winners who impress with their tales of woe will be picked for a Valentines date with them.

Entrants must be over 18, able to take their prize in Glasgow between February 13-17 and willing candidates should send their worst date story and name, age and address to alana@washmestyleme.co.uk by February 11.

As part of Valentines Day, toiletry company Washmestyleme.com have reduced the price of their aftershave and perfume box sets by up to a third. The Dhabba In Candleriggs is also offering the first thirty couples who book on Valentines Day a copy of the book of God of Desire Kamadeva.

The RTS Scotland Award

Jim McColl and the Tern TV production team – The Beechgrove Garden 1000th Episode

“For nearly four decades, Jim McColl has led Scotland’s longest running and best loved TV gardening series, The Beechgrove Garden.

Jim, I’m sure won’t mind me saying, was 80 last year and has spent half of those 80 years with BBC Scotland and Beechgrove, teaching Scotland to garden.

Jim began his broadcasting career in the 70s on Radio Scotland, he’s loved by viewers, gardeners and production teams. He is a natural, a one off. An object lesson in being at ease with the camera. He connects with his audience, drawing them in with his mixture of authority, passion, humility and humour. We trust him. If Jim tells you it’s time to plant your tatties then it just is.

Jim is our nation’s most respected & favourite TV gardener.

And Jim’s a generous team player. His co presenters on the programme, Carole Baxter, George Anderson and Chris Beardshaw, are all horticulturalists, experts who learn to present.

Beechgrove’s early hallmarks remain; its relevance to the Scottish climate, showing best practice in an accessible way, its willingness to show and learn from failures, to encourage us to get hands dirty and above all to never take itself too seriously.

These enduring qualities, have endeared Jim and the programme, to us over the decades.

Tern’s programme production team have kept the format fresh and the production true to its roots. They reach the milestone of 1000 episodes this year.

Horticultural broadcasting legend Jim McColl and the production team of Tern television for the 1000th Episode of Beechgrove Garden, are the recipients of the RTS Scotland Award 2016.”

RANGERS MIGHT HAVE HAD A LUCKY CHARM FOR LEAGUE WIN

Exclusive
Is this wee boy one of the reasons Rangers won the league?
Cancer patient Lee Welsh turned twelve yesterday (Tuesday) and Rangers invited him to meet them as a special present before their league winning match.
He was also a very special guest at their press conference last month.
James Tavernier who scored gave him a signed print and Martyn Waghorn gave him a signed jersey.

Lee from Larbert, who won boxing championships before being diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma at the start of the year, said: "It was a really good birthday meeting the players and then watching them winning the league. I wished them luck before the game."
He added: "I love football but want to be a boxer because it is so disciplined and keeps you fit. I'm not doing any boxing just now because I have to use my energy to fight this."
Dad Richard added: "Mark Warburton has been brilliant and said any time you want to come up, just phone.
Since the change in management Warburton is like a breath of fresh air and very welcoming.
Lee has chemo so he has got to fit his visits in between that. He's had three bouts and is due a fourth. Now that Rangers have won the league hopefully he is seen as a lucky mascot."
