THE FUN LOVIN’ CRIMINALS ARE COMING TO GLASGOW’S BARROWLANDS

THE Fun Lovin’ Criminals always have blast when they come to Scotland and they plan to do exactly that when they come to Barrowlands in October.
As the lads celebrate twenty five years since the release of Come Find Yourself thru are looking forward to getting out of lockdown.

As always, the multi-platinum New York trio have plenty to celebrate but the opportunity to escape the gloom of the past year and party with fans across the UK this coming October is bringing a huge smile to the trio.

"With the world in the toilet, and all the strife and bullsh!t that’s been going on; here is the light at the end of the tunnel. The FLC are accepting the United Nation's invitation to be the first real motherf@ck£rs to get back to making rock and roll shows great again. No huge bubbles or liquor free silly a$$ gigs, just some real New Yorkers bringing you the best in live music! You are welcome."
-Huey

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album Come Find Yourself, the 20th year since Loco, their highest charting single and the end [we hope] of a horrendous global pandemic for pretty much everybody. Besides, this is the Crims, naturally they will find something to party for.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals burst onto the music scene in 1996, gate crashing the euphoric Brit-pop party with unforgettable finesse. Heralded for their generation defining blend of styles and effortless Lower East Side charm, FLC’s refreshing cocktail of rock n’ roll, funk, blues, soul, hip hop, jazz and latin, gave the Crims a unique timelessness that is still apparent three decades on.

FLC’s debut single ‘Scooby Snacks’, famed for sampling Tarantino movies such as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction launched a career that saw the debut EMI album Come Find Yourself remain in the UK album chart for an astounding two years. FLC performed an infamously raucous set on the legendary Pyramid main stage at Glastonbury ’99 and have been bringing the party to stages worldwide ever since.

2021 also marks the 20th anniversary of Loco, a song that may be remembered for sound-tracking a sun-drenched Miller beer ad in which Huey can be found riffing the songs unmistakably cool, latin-infused guitar lick on the roof of car…in a traffic jam. Loco became the FLC’s highest charting single and likewise the Loco album became a Top 5 album in the UK.

Still a mainstay on the festival circuit in UK and Europe, FLC are Europe’s best-loved “cousins from New York”, whip-smart story-tellers in smarter Saville Row suits who, through comically tall tales of living large in the neon metropolis, launched a career in music that saw three ordinarily New Yorkers who met working at the legendary Limelight on W 20th St, swap glass collection for world tours with their pals U2 and studio collaborations with the late-great BB King.

Playing a headline set of their most cherished work and maybe even something new, rock star turned BBC 6music broadcaster Huey Morgan and his Fun Lovin’ Criminals return to UK stages in October 2021. The party is on, and you are all invited.

ROCKETMAN TARON EGERTON TOOK CLIMBING TRIP IN SCOTLAND DURING LOCKDOWN

ROCKETMAN star Taron Egerton spent time in Scotland climbing mountains with his friends during lockdown.
But when someone asked if he was visiting his movie co star Richard Madden he joked that Richard was a pretend Scot who actually came from Essex.
The Welsh star and his two pals explored the wilds of Scotland at the end of last month over five days and Taron showed off pictures of the trio exploring the Scottish Munros.
He appeared to be at the summit of Ben Nevis in Inverness in one of the pictures.
Ben Nevis, in Invernessshire is the highest mountain in the U.K.  at 1345 metres above sea level.
Taron who wore a Napapijri recycled puffer jacket in some of the pictures had a pair of white trainers on his feet and told fans that he’d left his climbing boots in the van.
He wrote: “In the wilds of Scotland (for some reason left my boots in the van) in my @napapijriCircular Puffer jacket. Not only is it insanely warm, the fabric is made from recycled fishing nets and other waste materials.”
Asked if he’d visited Richard Madden during his trip he said: “No, he’s actually from Essex. He says the accent is ‘better for his brand.’
Richard spent time at a country estate in Scotland in August, where he caught up with fellow acting friends Lily James, Dominic Cooper and Gemma Chan during a rural group holiday.

It was believed that Richard stayed in the Blair Atholl area of Scotland, a village in Perthshire known for its rustic stone buildings and scenic landscape.
Earlier in the day Taron told followers on his Instagram stories that he’d been chopping up dog treats and joked that he needed to get a job.
The star was of course joking about being out of work.
He has a busy schedule lined up for acting in coming months with the release of Tetris, Little Shop Of Horrors and Sing 2 followed by Kinsman 3 in 2022.

RICHARD MADDEN IS REAL LIFE ROCKETMAN

ACTOR Richard Madden has returned to Scotland following his lockdown in LA - and he teased fans with pictures of his countryside retreat, and fireworks - proving he was a real Rocketman.
The Bodyguard and Rocketman actor had been spending isolation in a lavish £20,000 a month LA property with Teen Wolf actor Froy Gutierrez.
However he has now returned home to Scotland and was seen a few days ago posing in a face mask in front of a pick up truck with fans speculating he had broken down.
It is believed that Richard is staying in the Blair Atholl area of Scotland, a village in Perthshire known for its rustic stone buildings and scenic landscape.
Richard who teased fans on Instagram with a picture of himself in front of one of the stately homes and Landrover later showed off a huge rocket in its packet with the caption - what could go wrong? He later let it off at midnight.

JACKIE STEWART SUFFERED PAINFUL OP DURING LOCKDOWN

Beverley Lyons
RACING legend Sir Jackie Stewart has suffered cracked ribs, broken wrists, shoulder injuries and skin cancer, yet he claims an operation he had during the early weeks of lockdown was the most painful experience he’d ever suffered.
Three time Formula One champion Sir Jackie, 81, from Milton in Dunbartonshire has been spending isolation at his idyllic home in Switzerland with his dementia stricken wife Lady Helen and her two dedicated neuro nurses.
Having won 99 Grand Prix as well as Formula 1 races in 1969, 1971 and 1973 he is nicknamed The Flying Scot and is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of motorsport.
As the last surviving Formula 1 world champion from the 60s, he has encountered his fair share of accidents and had his knee and hip replaced through the passage of time, however an operation to his right foot just weeks before his birthday this month put him in need a pit stop.
He said of the injury: “Well it’s sensitive, put it that way. My right foot did a lot of work in its day. When men were men, we had to wear very light shoes and then we had two pedals for the right foot and only one pedal for the left foot so the left foot is in great shape. The right foot has been abused and it’s amazing. If you look at my hands here you see that is the big toe. Let’s assume that’s these are the other four. The doctor cut them all in two pieces and put them all together in the right place. That was three weeks ago and they said it would take seven days before I could walk properly. It’s painful - The most painful thing I’ve had ever because your weight is all in your foot.”
He laughed: “I’m a married man. I’m used to pain.”
Jackie also took the opportunity during his In The Pink podcast interview to express his fears over Formula 1 taking place without a British Grand Prix.
He said: “I hope that doesn't happen. That should not be allowed. That's why you've got to have quality and you've got to have integrity and you've got to remember history as well. It would be a mistake. In any case it would be said to have no spectators there. But not to have a British Grand Prix when you consider that Britain started Formula 1 grand prix racing, it was the first time ever there was a world championship Formula 1 race, and it's had such a strong history with tremendous attendances always, to lose that I think would be a disaster for motor sport. I think if they're not careful, that could be the beginning of not such a good time.”
